Nakedness is my thing (open!)

Who: Sinbad and you!
What: Bathing for that moonflower

Rating: PG13 I guess for Sinbad stuff

[ Being as he's been made to make himself at home here, Sinbad sees no choice (for now) but to go along with things and to complete missions. He's certainly had enough time to get his bearings about him and figure out (mostly) how things work. And he'll need money to survive. Do you know what else he needs? A bath. Thus, the mission to retrieve the special flower while bathing is perfect for him! He scooped it up without hesitation and headed for the nearest lake he could find.

He strips down shamelessly, folding his clothes and laying them down by the edge of the water. On top of them rest his bracelets and rings and necklaces as well as his weapons ... most of them Djinn Containers and things he should be taking Much Better Care of. Not to worry! He would tell his concerned generals and friends, he is completely unafraid to come after any potential thieves while completely naked. Do you think he has any modesty? Well you're wrong.

So once he is prepared, he picks up the yellow flowers and begins to wade out slowly into the water. ] Ah ... it's cold! [ He murmurs to himself, drifting around in the shallows for a bit before venturing any further. Gotta get used to it!

YOUR MISSION, should you choose to accept, is to join him or run into him accidentally or do whatever you want! ]

[Nuri overhears Sinbad's loud complaint, that easily makes him curiously take a look at who or what, is beyond these bushes... Half-crouching, he slowly goes through the leaves and stops when he has enough sight to be able to see what's going on here.

Which, oh, is just someone bathing. The young man seems familiar. Very familiar in fact, it doesn't take long for Nuri to piece out that this is one of his roommates back at the guild.

... Speaking of familiarity. Wait, why is he sneaking around anyway? Oh, well. He realizes this too late, but he'll remedy it right now.]

Hello!

[ Sinbad has probably already scarred and/or amazed Nuri and others of his bunkmates with his open nakedness. At least he doesn't have to deal with the horrifying thought of startling a beautiful young lady!

He apparently doesn't notice that anyone is there as he continues to try and wade a little deeper in the water as he grows used to the temperature of the lake. But he hears the greeting and turns around, eyeing first his belongings and then looking at Nuri. The water is hovering dangerously below his bellybutton at this point.

But as if it's nothing, Sinbad raises his hand in greeting. He recognizes Nuri! ] Good evening!

[ Well it's a little beyond evening now but - ]

Good evening!

[Let's all be glad that Nuri is oblivious to that dangerous view... He's too focused on studying and remembering Sinbad's face, so that he'll be able to recognize him even faster next time.

After all, if they're both roommates and guildmates, they'll surely get to work together a lot soon.]

Isn't it really cold, mister? I mean... Bathing at this hour!

[ But studying and remembering him by his fig leaf would be more efficient!!

Or maybe not.

Either way, he continues to smile, even laughs a bit before he answers. ]

It is pretty cold. But midnight is the only time I can do it! I'll get used to it soon enough.

[Not to worry, king. That fig leaf will forever be remembered, whether people like it or not. It's a trademark.

Meanwhile, have a curious kid.]

The only time you can do it? Why, are you a gumiho?

[aka, ONE OF THOSE MYTHICAL CREATURES THAT BATHE IN THE MOONLIGHT?]

[ Ah good, he's left his mark on the world. ]

I'm just a man! [ Like he even knows what a gumiho is.

But he will hold up his flowers. ] I'm performing a request for one of the locals. It requires me to bathe at midnight on a full moon.

[Wow. If Nuri isn't such an oblivious person, he would've already side-eyed hearing that. It sounds like some kind of ridiculous ritual.

However, his curiosity can only get stronger. Maybe there's a good reason for it, since this world does operate differently.]

Ohh... That's very interesting. Is this some kind of strengthening meditation?

[ Wow?? He's said nothing but innocent things? Pls, little boy.

To be fair, it is a bit of a ridiculous ritual. He'll probably get a cold. ]

Not really. I am just trying to get these flowers to bloom. And taking a bath! It's a useful quest, isn't it?

[It seems this lake is already occupied by a young androgynous figure. Hiling happened to have taken that mission as well. It wasn't something a soldier like herself was suited for, but it would get her some money. She would treat it just like any other mission and carry it out to the best of her ability with skill and efficiency. It would be good to show that she could be useful so that she would be hired for more missions, perhaps even ones that involved actual fighting.

For now, she's standing naked in a lake with the flower as she was told and she hears someone. Her eyes narrow. The last thing she needs is to be interrupted while in the middle of an operation. If it's an enemy, well, she has her weapon at her side.]

You there! State your name and objective.

[ In that case, Sinbad has nearly removed all of his clothing before he hears the voice call out to him. He has already removed his own weapon(s) and his jewelry (even if his Djinn are useless here anyway) so by appearances he doesn't seem to be much of a threat. In fact, he's also smiling, despite the mildly hostile greeting of the other. ]

I am Sinbad of Sindria! And I'm merely here to bathe and gather some moonflower.

[ Really he sees no point in lying about any of it. Bathing is pretty innocent where he comes from (well mostly. Sometimes some groping or massaging may occur). ]

Oh, alright. You can join me then. That's what I'm here for too.

[They're not competing after all. There's no need to be territorial. It would be a bad idea to make enemies this early. She wouldn't mind the company anyway. Now that she had determined him not a threat, she is able to relax.]

My name's Hiling Care.

Ah, splendid! [ He exclaims happily as if he wasn't even nearly threatened a moment ago. Sinbad loves company after all. With very little shame he continues to disrobe. He'd insist it's a cultural thing ... since he's so used to stripping down.

of course sometimes it's merely that he ends up naked because he's careless and stupid but that's beside the point. ]

Hiling Care ... I'm pleased to meet you. Where do you come from?

[Hiling does not mind the view. She's glad he's friendly because wouldn't it be a shame to mess up such a handsome face. Though it would at least warm her up a bit. It's still cold out there in the water even after her body has acclimated. Hopefully this doesn't take too long. It seems to be an easy enough task for the reward offered.]

I worked for a private military organization. We didn't really have a home.

[ Sinbad doesn't usually like tasks that appear to be so easy, but since he didn't mind swimming or bathing anyway, he thought he may as well. Having company just made the cold water easier to bear. And of course, he hated to fight with women so he's glad that Hiling has decided to be friendly as well. ]

I see. I'm sorry to hear that. [ It reminded him somewhat of Masrur, except the fanalis were not military but ... details. ] You would have been welcome to call Sindria home in my world!

[ He's talking as he walks into the water. No toe-ing about for this king, the quicker he's in the water the better. ]

That's very kind. What's it like?

[It probably doesn't matter since she'll never get to see it, but she's curious. Maybe she'll find out if it's a place she would really even want to call home. If nothing else, it's something to talk about and pass the time. She could use a good distraction.]

Sindria? Well I'd be biased since it's my country.

[ but he continues anyway, putting his hands on his hips. ] It's a happy, prosperous country! With people from all kinds of places who have settled in there and called it home.

[She's glad she was nice to him. He could be a useful ally.]

Really? Wow! That does sound nice.

[She glances up at the moon.] How long is this supposed to take?

It is. The people are what make it so.

[ He follows her look up at the moon and then looks to the flowers. ]

Maybe once we've finished bathing.

[She hopes it won't take long. But since they're not fighting, they can have fun instead. It's boring just to stand around and talk. So she splashes him and wades out deeper into the water so he can't reach her. The rocks are slippery and she's finding it increasingly hard to maintain her balance. She trips and falls into the water with a loud yelpdropping her weapon.]

Oh no!

[ Sinbad laughs at first, bounding into the water, despite the chill, to pursue the mild water attack. But he stops as he hears her yelp, watching her go down. It's only for a moment, since he's swimming toward her to make sure she's alright. He could hardly be called King of the Seven Seas if he was a slow swimmer, so he's there in a jiff! ]

Hey, are you alright?

[She flails and splashes until she can grab onto him and get her footing. It's not as deep as she thought. That was rather undignified, but she feels safe now. So it's back to playing.]

Fine thanks to you. [Oh right, she can let go now.] You've got a bit of a weakness for pretty girls in danger, don't you.

[And with that, she uses the opportunity to splash him again.]

[ Sinbad dodges the splashing and flailing as best he can, giving a laugh once he sees she's alright and the water isn't so deep or dangerous after all. ]

Just pretty girls, I'd say. [ At least he's being honest! ]

But I won't back down from a fight either! [ So he splashes back. ]

You think I'm pretty?

[She knows she's not much to look at with her boyish figure and flat chest. It might be flattery, but she doesn't care. She likes being cute.

She lifts her arms to shield herself from the splash.]

Oh, my weapon is still down there. Won't you help me find it?

They were your words. [ He points out, amused. ] But I think all women are beautiful.

[ Yes he's one of those. Certainly a charmer and, according to his generals, a bit of a womanizer. But he can't help it when there are so many lovely ladies out there in the world for him to meet. ]

Alright. We'll have to be careful with these flowers.

[She pouts a little, thinking that makes her less special, but she has other things to worry about. Like finding her axe and not stepping on the sharp part. At least she's easily distracted. She wanders over to where she was when she fell.]

I think it's here.

[ He'd have to try and make that up somehow. But for now, he follows her carefully until she reaches the spot she believes her weapon to be in. ]

Alright. Let's fish it out then. [ Carefully he sets the flowers in the water to float and then disappears underneath the water. ]

[Retrieving her weapon for her is more than enough, but she won't complain if he wants to do more for her. She watches as he submerges himself, wondering if he'll be successful. But she's soon distracted by their pretty yellow flowers as they begin to bloom. She wants him to see this too.]

[ Trying to look through a lake in the dark is pretty ... difficult. But nothing Sinbad can't handle! He's down there for a bit kind of carefully looking and feeling around (hopefully without cutting his fingers off). Eventually he bumps against something other than rocks and dirt and pops up out of the water with a big gasp for air. Though he doesn't notice the flowers at all yet. ]

Here! It was easier without a bunch of other things in the water.

You found it!

[Hiling claps her hands together at the sight of her lost weapon and then takes it from him. That wouldn't happen again, she would be sure of it. There's something she wants to show him too. She pushes the flowers toward him.]

Look!

Thankfully. [ He laughs, brushing his soggy hair out of his face and out of the way.

Then he looks at the flowers she's presenting to them. ] Ah, it's working!

So I guess we're done here.

[She scoops up the flower in her hands. That was a really easy mission, but she still feels like she's accomplished something. It was a lot more fun since he was there. She leans in to give him a kiss on the cheek.]

I guess so. It was fun.

[ Although the rebellious young man still living in his grown body kind of wants to stay behind. At least for the moment he does, allowing her to leave first. He'll just be there looking dumb and awestruck for getting a kiss on the cheek. His lucky day! ]

[She waves at him as she departs. He's proven himself to be reliable, so maybe she'll be able to call on him in a time of need. Her clothes are right where she left them, so she quickly dries off and gets dressed before heading out. Now to claim her prize.]
