Someday my prince will come // Open
Who: Koharu & Other Mission Members PLUS anyone walking by
What: Kissing Frogs is...sure a mission.
When: All day!
Where: In a corner of a courtyard in Ironwall
Rating: PG? Kissing of Frogs WARNING
Settled in the corner of a courtyard, the sound of frogs is audible a few streets over. A dozen small boxes litter a circle around Koharu, settled as she is on bench, and a flask of water to one side. A little frog is balanced uncertainly on her palm, croaking. A thousand frogs split between a few girls was still far too many frogs, she thought, but it was a mission she was unfailingly qualified for. No one would let her do anything unless she took missions--or that's what she'd heard.
A little sigh and she leans down to kiss the frog's head--easily the least weird part to kiss--when the frog simply hops out of her hands and across the courtyard.
"No--no come back. Come back!" Raising her skirt to avoid tripping, she gives chase, trying to catch the stupid thing without actually hurting it. It pauses at the edge of traffic and she nearly has it--before it hops just a foot away from her hands.
"No--stop hopping!"

She suddenly hears croaking and a seemingly distressed young girl. She starts running towards the noises and sees a frog hopping right at her! ]
I GOT IT!!!
[ Nowi yells as she sprints towards the hopping frog. She throws herself at the frog and grabs it by the tips of her fingers. ]
Oh!! It's so slimy!
[ Nowi giggles at the feeling of a frog between her fingers. She really thinks that this is going to be a fun mission! ]

Heh, I know it's slimy. All of them are slimy...

[ Nowi just keeps trying to see the bright side of kissing slimy frogs, slimy frogs that the girls will probably wind up chasing most of the time. ]

[ Nowi stops, she has learned in her interactions that a lot of people have not had the same experiences as her...]
Well...that is if there are princes and princesses where you're from. Are there?

And then, she hears someone else's voice! Ninian blinks and looks up, seeing a girl (hey, isn't she familiar?) chasing after another frog and trying to catch it. Murmuring an apology, she quickly puts the animal she had just kissed back in the nearest box, closes the lid and stands up, raising her skirt as well to see if she can get close and help her fellow "companion"!]
Come here... [And she tries to get close without making too much noise. It shouldn't be that hard due to her dancer skills, but a little mistake would ruin everything.] Please...

Thank you. He just slipped away...

The escaping frogs made her chuckle and push up from the wall to come intercept. It lands with a plop on her boot, and she bends to pick it up, examining it with humorous curiosity. "So where'd this ma tze even find all these poor prices? Somethin' about a dark forest?"

"Really think one of these is gonna turn into a prince? No matter where they come from?"

For now, though, she does get guild credit for pretending. "Guess I should see if there's any magic in this little fella, then, doncha think?" She holds up the frog, putting back on that expression of faint amusement. "Or would you rather do the honors, miss?"

[There's really no other reason good enough for her. She would have to fight her way from the bottom to make a name for herself. Back home she never encountered civilians, but here she has to work alongside people just trying to make a living. This young lady doesn't seem like much of a fighter.]

It didn't take a giant leap of logic to figure out what was going on and Latvia approached slowly but when he tried to make a grab for the amphibian it slipped from his hands and back into the crowd. He tried to give chase but with so many people going in all different directs it was difficult and he was forced to turn back.
"Sorry, I couldn't catch it"

Considering that was a frog he just tried to catch this was getting a little too fairy tale for him. He couldn't tell if that was meant to be a joke or if she was completely serious.
"Maybe... but there must be dozens of frog prices, it's a popular curse. I'm sure you're find another," Latvia jested. If it was a joke (and he really hoped it was) he might as well go along with it.

"Does she... Wouldn't it be easier to court a human prince though?" Latvia asked. Even if he had been cursed to be a frog who's to say that he'd like her anyway? Employing other people to break the curse for you didn't make good romance material in his eyes.
