[Open to Fighters] Settling In!
Who: Anyone in the Fighter's Guild!
What: Settling into their posh new home!
When: The first week or so?
Where: The super-lavish Fighter's Guild Bunk Rooms!
Rating: PG-13 for various rough language and behavior, maybe?
((OOC: Feel free to tag around and tag each other, I just figured since I was putting one up for Mikado to meet his bunkmate, I'd make it open to anyone living here.))
The housing in the Fighter's Guild isn't exactly the most extravagant. In fact, there's pretty much nothing but the bunks in the rooms, and bathroom facilities are shared. There are eight bunks to a room, so it's definitely going to be a busy place.
A very small-feeling Ryuugamine Mikado is standing in the middle of the room, looking like he's lost, holding onto the strap of his school bag a little too tightly. He's managed to talk his way into the fighter's guild in the first place out of sheer stubbornness, but actually fitting in here is another matter. It doesn't help any that he's already banged up and wearing several bandages around his person, ones he needs to redo soon since they're been in place since before arriving in this world.

open!
Whoever's in the immediate area is going to get a resounding slap on the back. Maybe this is his new roommate? He's supposed to be sharing the place, or so he'd heard.
"Yo! Nice place, huh?"
Is it really nice, or is he just the kind of guy who'd call a dump like this home?
Re: open!
Mikado doesn't really think that even he could call it nice. He's used to living in relative simplicity; his apartment back in Ikebukuro is tiny, after all. But even he isn't prepared for this kind of starkness.
All the same, he'll smile. After all, it's better than being on the street, and complaining doesn't do anyone any good in situations like these.
Even though he's nearly fallen over from that slap on the back.
"At least we should be too busy getting to know each other to get homesick?" he offers tentatively.

Ali raises an eyebrow at his suggestion.
"That's why you joined up? To make some friends? Oh, boy."
And on that note, he adds, "Are you really a fighter?"

"I know a lot of people aren't going to think much of me, but if I'm going to beat up, I'd rather do it trying to fight back than lying on the ground crying."
Not that he had exactly laid down and cried, but he had certainly cried afterward. And then moved to change the situation. But neither of the gangs were here to help him, so all he could do was make himself stronger.

"They wouldn't beat you up with the scholars!" Ali says incredulously. He pauses as he brings a hand to his chin thoughtfully, and then seems to come to a conclusion.
"Oh, I get it. You're trying to make good with the tough crowd, so they won't bully your sorry ass."
He still sounds pretty laid back about this, even friendly, so maybe he's trying to insinuate that he's not one of them. It might even be believable. Though he's a big guy, since he'd just been on an important mission, he doesn't look as rough as he might have with the facial hair he'd shed.
"Don't worry. Not everyone here is a brainless musclehead. I'm a military man myself."

He's immediately thinking of Shizuo, of course, but Simon could easily count the same way. Many of his other friends too, perhaps: people who are easily feared but not easily cared for.
He's already learned those lessons at home, so he has them to guide him here.
"I want to become stronger not just so I won't be bullied, but so I can be the person who creates a place where it doesn't happen. It's a little silly, probably, but I do hope we can be friends. Would you tell me what your home is like, what your military is like there?"
