((OOC: Feel free to tag around and tag each other, I just figured since I was putting one up for Mikado to meet his bunkmate, I'd make it open to anyone living here.))

The housing in the Fighter's Guild isn't exactly the most extravagant. In fact, there's pretty much nothing but the bunks in the rooms, and bathroom facilities are shared. There are eight bunks to a room, so it's definitely going to be a busy place.

A very small-feeling Ryuugamine Mikado is standing in the middle of the room, looking like he's lost, holding onto the strap of his school bag a little too tightly. He's managed to talk his way into the fighter's guild in the first place out of sheer stubbornness, but actually fitting in here is another matter. It doesn't help any that he's already banged up and wearing several bandages around his person, ones he needs to redo soon since they're been in place since before arriving in this world.

[She actually manages to startle him, and he spins around a little too quickly, just a bit off balance. He gives a soft laugh as he rights himself, then nods.]

I am! It's exciting, isn't it?

[ Nowi giggles at his little stumble, also at the fact that she could startle him. ]

It's so exciting! I can't wait to run around and train...maybe we can even train together!

[ Nowi early waits from him to respond, this was her first fighter friend! But she realizes quickly that she didn't even give him her name! ]

Oh, my name is Nowi, what about you??

Mikado.

[He adds a little bow after the introduction.]

I would love to train with you. I'm not very good yet, but I'll get better!

You don't have to be so formal with me! [ Nowi giggles. ] We're friends now!

And you never have to worry! We'll get good together! Do you like to run around a play?? Because that's a wonderful way to train!!

[ Nowi looks at him eagerly, hoping he likes to play as much as she does. ]

Oh! Being formal is just a habit, but... I do like to play too! I'd love to play with you sometime.

[Granted, he's more used to rough-housing with his male best friend than with a girl, but he doesn't mind. If that's what she wants.]

Oh, that's so great! I'm really really excited now! What games do you like to play?

[ Nowi is beyond thrilled. This is the first person who is agreeing to play with her. ]

Umm...

[He doesn't exactly play games anymore. And he's not sure how much of the goofing off he and Masaomi do would be appropriate with a girl. He pauses, then speaks in a rush.]

We could play tag! Or we could get a ball and play catch or something. Or... we could do a scavenger hunt to learn about the city!

[ Nowi gasps in excitement. ]

Oh boy! I love doing all those things too!! Have you been around the city yet? I seem to get lost every time I go!

[ Nowi giggles, the city hasn't been too kind to her, but it is always amusing! ]

I've been mostly getting lost too! It's not as big a city as where I was living before I came here, but it's different in a lot of ways, so I get distracted looking at things and forget where I'm going.

[He laughs, not minding that it's a little embarrassing for a boy his age to still have a hard time with directions.]

[ Nowi giggles even more. She just has so much in common with Mikado! ]

Me too!!! I get so distracted, there's just so much to do in this city!! And you were from an even bigger one?? Wow! What was it like??

[ Nowi's eyes get even bigger and more inquisitive. ]

It's... very busy. And really dangerous. And really exciting.

[He misses it already, actually, despite the danger waiting for him there, the fight he's got to look forward to when he gets back.]

You never know what's going to happen, or who you'd going to meet!

That sounds like so much fun! [ Nowi pauses and thinks for a second. ] Well...except for the dangerous part. It sounds really neat; I'd love to visit one day!! I just love going places and meeting people! That's why it's just so exciting here!

[ Nowi can barely contain her enthusiasm. She wants to go out and see everything already! ]

[He really wants to reach out and pat her on the head. But he's not going to, because he doesn't know her well enough yet. Resisting the impulse is done only by tucking his hands into his pockets.]

It's nice to see someone so excited. Most people seem pretty upset about being taken away from home.

You always have to look on the bright side of things! There is no use in being sad when there isn't anything you can do about it. You just have to make the most out of these situations; you might even have some fun and meet some great people.

[ It's so great that her happiness is getting through to some people! ]

I think so too!

[Mikado grins.]

I think learning everything you can from every situation is good, and having fun too.

Oh boy, I can tell we are going to be great friends. We should do one of these missions together sometime, they sound like so much fun!

Yes, let's! I'm really looking forward to getting stronger and being able to do useful things for people.

[He wants that more than anything, after how helpless the situation at home left him feeling.]

You are so nice, Mikado!! I just want to make people happy too, all while having fun!

[ Nowi does a little excited jump. ]

This is going to be so great! I am so glad I met you; it's nice to already have a friend in the guild.

I'm really happy too. We'll do all kinds of fun things together, I'm sure.

[As long as she leads the way. He's really more of a follower, when it's not gang things, at least.]

[ Nowi giggles. Oh boy, a friend who will run and play with her! ]

I'm so glad I met you, having a friend will make my time here a lot more fun!

Mine too. I was a little worried I wouldn't make any friends, since I don't really.. fit the type for this guild so well.

[Mikado laughs a little, self-consciously.]

[ Nowi giggles. ]

Well, look at me!! I look like a little girl, there is no one that fits the fighter's guild type less than I do!

That's true.

[His smile widens.]

It'll be like our own little club. The improbable fighters. Right?
