[Open to Fighters] Settling In!
Who: Anyone in the Fighter's Guild!
What: Settling into their posh new home!
When: The first week or so?
Where: The super-lavish Fighter's Guild Bunk Rooms!
Rating: PG-13 for various rough language and behavior, maybe?
((OOC: Feel free to tag around and tag each other, I just figured since I was putting one up for Mikado to meet his bunkmate, I'd make it open to anyone living here.))
The housing in the Fighter's Guild isn't exactly the most extravagant. In fact, there's pretty much nothing but the bunks in the rooms, and bathroom facilities are shared. There are eight bunks to a room, so it's definitely going to be a busy place.
A very small-feeling Ryuugamine Mikado is standing in the middle of the room, looking like he's lost, holding onto the strap of his school bag a little too tightly. He's managed to talk his way into the fighter's guild in the first place out of sheer stubbornness, but actually fitting in here is another matter. It doesn't help any that he's already banged up and wearing several bandages around his person, ones he needs to redo soon since they're been in place since before arriving in this world.

Re: Open to all!
[The young man sitting on one of the bunks should probably not be bothering someone who is trying to relax, but he can't help but make an effort to make friends, really.
Besides, he's a little out of place still, and a little nervous.]

[He doesn't bother to give eye contact. Not that he's being intentionally rude, he's just a simple guy who doesn't see a reason to see eye to eye in all instances.]
no subject
[Mikado isn't really sure what to follow up with. He's quite for a moment, and then speaks again, still rather awkwardly.]
So you don't mind this world so much?
no subject
I never said that. Figured instead of getting all pouty about it, might as well take what you can get. I think I'm ready to get myself out of here as soon as possible. [He holds his relaxation position.]
What about you, huh? Settling in after being taken away from home?
no subject
[Mikado smiles at the question, because honestly, he's feeling all right. Despite the fact that he hasn't recovered from the injuries he had before he came here totally, and is trying to learn to fight anyway.]
It's not a bad situation for me. I'm learning something I wanted to learn at home anyway, except without trying to fit it into my regular responsibilities.

[He shrugs.]
I'll find out what information I can and go from there. In the meantime, they're skills I needed anyway. If I can go back more prepared for the situation there then I won't complain.
no subject
You've got a good head on your shoulders. Keep that up and I think you might find a way out of here before all of us do.
no subject
[He smiles calmly.]
It would be in my best interest to learn as much as I can, let others tackle the problem as well, trade information, and then make decisions based on the situation both at home and here.
no subject
[...Hmmm.]
Sound like some sort of war strategist or something. You always think ahead like this? [That's too tiring for Yuri.]
no subject
[He isn't sure what he wants to say, actually. There are lies he could tell, but does he want to?
There's no one here it matters to, is there?
He pauses, obviously unsure of himself, and then speaks a little slower.]
I've learned to think like that, recently. The city I live in is very exciting, and keeping up with it takes a lot of work.
no subject
Takes a lot of work to keep up with? Don't you guys have newspapers or something for that?
no subject
[He pauses.]
It's more like street knowledge: knowing the right people and finding out what makes things tick.
