[Open to Fighters] Settling In!
Who: Anyone in the Fighter's Guild!
What: Settling into their posh new home!
When: The first week or so?
Where: The super-lavish Fighter's Guild Bunk Rooms!
Rating: PG-13 for various rough language and behavior, maybe?
((OOC: Feel free to tag around and tag each other, I just figured since I was putting one up for Mikado to meet his bunkmate, I'd make it open to anyone living here.))
The housing in the Fighter's Guild isn't exactly the most extravagant. In fact, there's pretty much nothing but the bunks in the rooms, and bathroom facilities are shared. There are eight bunks to a room, so it's definitely going to be a busy place.
A very small-feeling Ryuugamine Mikado is standing in the middle of the room, looking like he's lost, holding onto the strap of his school bag a little too tightly. He's managed to talk his way into the fighter's guild in the first place out of sheer stubbornness, but actually fitting in here is another matter. It doesn't help any that he's already banged up and wearing several bandages around his person, ones he needs to redo soon since they're been in place since before arriving in this world.

He turns to blink at her, a little embarrassed at being startled. He really needs to learn to pay more attention, in a place like this. He was just starting to get used to Ikebukuro, really, and now he's in a new place again and it's hard to wrap his head around it.
This is quite a bit further from where he was born than Tokyo, of course.
"I'm all right! I was in a bit of a scrape before I came here, but I'll be fine as long as I can keep the injuries clean."
He doesn't look worried at all.
"You're disappointed in the accommodations, it sounds like?"

"we should get these changed, you know," she states factually before straightening and looking around for any obvious signs of where the bathroom might be.
"but you're right, i'm not really excited about staying in a place like this," she adds before turning towards him a cheeky smile. "us women need a lot more than just a simple bed."

"I can't imagine any woman I know living in a place like this either," he admits, not that he really knows a lot of women all that well. "I think even my apartment at home was nicer than this."

she smiles at mikado's words though; no, she can't imagine he knows too many women, though the boy is still fascinating in his own right. "it was kind of a joke, but it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders."
a pause.
"do you live alone? in your apartment."
this kid looked way too young for that, but she thinks of gareki and nai and the other displaced children thanks to kafka, so it isn't terribly unbelievable that other worlds and other people would have similar problems.

Mikado walks a few steps away, then points toward the wall, indicating the small space between.
"The whole apartment is about that big. But it's very homey, and I was very comfortable there. It will be strange living somewhere new, with other people."
He doesn't mind it at all; it's just strange. Oh, but maybe he sounds like he minds it? He should probably be sure he's not misunderstood.
"Oh, but it's all right! I'm excited about getting to learn more about fighting, so I'm fine with staying in a place like this."

she's genuinely surprised by the smallness of his apparent accommodations. he really must be supporting himself, the poor thing! iva has definitely been there, but she makes no mention of it. instead, she whistles in admiration before nodding her head.
"this is definitely a huge change then... i have to say, you don't look like the fighting type though. it's surprising!"

[Mikado is a little embarrassed about it, but not as bad as he could be.]
It's not that I'm the fighting type, but I'd like to be able to do it when it's necessary. And I might change my mind later, but joining this guild seemed like the quickest way to get there.
